In Estonian In English 1997 CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

Dear lecturers, master and PhD students !

CS & IT Education Development Center for Estonian Universities (CIDEC) will organize on March 2-7, 1997 a winter school

NEW TRENDS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The idea of the school is to give to Estonian M & PhD students insight into today's research topics of computer science and information technology in order to provide students the state of art in the field.

! TIME:March 2 - 7, 1997
PLACE:PALMSE, Lahemaa

* Invited speakers will give talks (approx. 7 hours per day) introducing their research fields or novel courses given at their home universities on new research results.

TERM REWRITING SYSTEMS
Prof. Tanel Tammet (Chalmers Univ., Sweden)

* Another part of the school is intended for the STUDENTS' PRESENTATIONS (in English !) of their research.

! Participants get organised travel from Tallinn to Palmse, accommodation and meals for 5 days. Limited number of places. Graduate and PhD students giving presentations are preferred.
