Born July 9, 1953. Graduated from the University of Tartu 1976. Ph.D. (Cand. Sci.) 1986, Steklov Institute of Mathematics, Moscow.

Position: Senior research scientist.
Interests: Approximation theory, Fourier analysis, wavelets.
